The conferences begins with the pōwhri on
​Friday 20 November 2026

Pōwhiri at Ōtākou marae

​The pōwhiri is your official welcome by the mana whenua (people of this land) to Ōtepoti
We will have buses to transport conference participants to the marae.  
8:30 AM:  Meet at Te Kura Ākau Taitoka University of Otago College of Education
9:30 AM: Bus leaves for marae
​10:30 AM: Bus arrives at marae
1:30 PM: Bus leaves marae to return to Te Kura Ākau Taitoka for Opening Plenary and light refreshments
