Transportation

There is no public transportation between Dunedin International Airport and the city. Click on the blue button just below for links to the various transportation services from the airport (e.g., Super Shuttle, taxi companies).

Lodging - Hotels & Motels

We have not been able to secure any other special rates or blocks of rooms.  
However, there are a plethora of very nice motels along George Street within easy walking distance of the campus.  When possible, it would be good to book your rooms fairly early as these rooms are often in very high demand with special events in the city.
See below for a special low-cost accomodation that we've been able to arrange.

Additional Special Low-cost Accommodation
From University housing: This is a backpacker-style accommodation at Aquinas College, with king single rooms available on a single-occupancy basis. Our rate for the upcoming season is currently confirmed at $55 per room, per night.
Please note that there are no full cooking facilities available. However, guests have access to a Whānau Room with a small kitchenette, including a fridge, toaster, microwave, and Zip hot water unit.

There is free on-street parking available on Gladstone Road. Alternatively, on-site college parking can be arranged for $5 per day, subject to availability.
 Please note the following terms and conditions:
  • Payment is required in advance, either through the online portal or via EFTPOS at Reception.
  • Check-in times are flexible but must be arranged prior to arrival, as Reception is not staffed at all times.
  • There is a duty phone which is available for emergencies only. Please note that we do not offer a porter service.
  • Each room includes bed linen, a pillow and pillowcase, one duvet, and one towel per stay.
  • Rooms are serviced after every three nights of occupancy.
  • Additional towels may be hired for $5 each.

Where to get good kai - dining thoughts

Ōtepoti Dunedin has a vibrant café culture and many yummy places to dine.  Some restaurants fill up quickly so it may be worth booking a table in advance - but many others have plenty of availability in the moment. Walking and Cycle-friendly

Walking around Ōtepoti Dunedin is quite scenic and welcoming.  There is plenty of nature and wall art for you to enjoy along the path.
